Registration Process for Non-licensed/Certified Eligible Program Participants
Eligible participants in the Teacher PC Purchase Program who are not required to be licensed or certified by the Virginia Department of Education must have proof of full-time employment with a Commonwealth of Virginia public school division in order to register for an authorization number. Proof of employment may be in the form of a school division issued employee identification number, payroll number (non-social security number), or other verifiable unique alphanumeric code that is assigned by the employing school division.
Should an eligible participant be employed by a school division that does not issue any form of unique identification, the eligible participant may substitute an alternative code consisting of the participant's last name preceded by the first and middle initials, and first three digits of the social security number. For a fictitious teacher's assistant named John Matthew Doe, with the social security number, 123-45-6789, the alternative identification number would be, jmdoe123.
All non-license/certification numbers will be subject to verification and/or audit by VITA.
